COVID-19 –– 'R U OK' Registration

R U OK provides personalized, confidential information, through a Town maintained database, to local Fire, Police and EMS.  This enables EMS to respond appropriately to those Clifton Park residents requiring special consideration.

Saratoga County Declares State of Emergency - March 16, 2020

 Saratoga County Board of Supervisors Chairman Preston Allen signed an Executive Order today declaring a State of Emergency in the county.

Saratoga County Public Health Advisory - March 15, 2020

Saratoga County Department of Public Health has issued the following advisory for businesses and residents in Saratoga County. The purpose of this advisory is to encourage social distancing to combat the presence of COVID-19 within our communities.

“All residents should practice social distancing as it has proven to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus from one person to another,” said Catherine Duncan, Director of Saratoga County Department of Public Health. “Limiting exposure will prevent a spike in cases that would potentially exceed the healthcare systems capacity to treat patients with or without COVID-19.”

Social distancing includes limiting capacity at public and private gathering spaces, expanding the physical distance between peoples to 6 to 10 feet, avoiding shaking hands or exchanging greeting gestures, hold meetings via video or telephone conference when possible.

The Saratoga County Department of Public Health continues to work diligently, alongside New York State agencies, to contain and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the county.

COVID-19 Information for Saratoga County - March 15, 2020

The Saratoga County Department of Public Health continues to work diligently to contain and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the county.

There is one more confirmed case of COVID-19 in Saratoga County, an adult Clifton Park resident. The total number of confirmed cases is four. The Department of Public Health is currently investigating this case.

Saratoga County Department of Public Health has issued the following advisory for businesses and residents in Saratoga County. The purpose of this advisory is to provide residents and businesses with guidance related to the presence of COVID-19 within our communities and continue to offer resources made available by both the state and county health departments.

The Saratoga County Department of Public Health continues to work diligently to contain and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the county.

There are no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saratoga County at this time. The number of confirmed cases remains at three.

CALL FIRST! - An Important Reminder If You Think You've Been Exposed to the Corona Virus

If you believe you have been exposed or that you have symptoms of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), CALL YOUR DOCTOR. Please do not walk in to your doctor's office or to the Emergency Room and risk exposing the staff and other patients. If you arrive to Saratoga Hospital, you will be directed to a safe entry at a nearby testing location.

Statement from the Town Public Health Committee - March 12, 2020

Earlier this morning the Town of Clifton Park was notified that an adult resident had tested positive for Novel Coronavirus. Supervisor Barrett has been in contact with the members of the Town Public Health Committee with information on the situation. We are working with county and state health officials to monitor the situation. Please continue to follow all protocols and recommendations of the CDC. The Committee will continue to post updates on this site as information becomes available.

COVID-19 Information for Saratoga County - March 12, 2020

The Saratoga County Department of Public Health is working diligently to contain and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the county. Currently, the county is not experiencing community spread of the virus.

There is a third confirmed case of COVID-19. The individual is an adult resident of Clifton Park. The County Department of Public Health is continuing to investigate the circumstances of this case, including the point of origin and the individuals with whom they’ve come in contact.

Questions about Novel Coronavirus

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or CDC is responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China and which has now been detected in 60 locations internationally, including in the United States. The virus has been named “SARS-CoV-2” and the disease it causes has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”).
